Hiking Bormazo.
Etruscan culture and the nature of the Sacro Bosco with a little Pasolini.
Do you want to experience something unique during your vacation? Then walk along with Follow the Red Shoes through the Sacro Bosco (sacred forest) near Bomarzo, it is nothing short of special. With this excursion you will have a great day. We start at the tower of Chia once the home of the famous film director Pasolini.
Along waterfalls and through ravines we pass an old water mill and basins where flax used to be stored in the water. The forest is a bit like a fairytale. You only hear the water falling, the birds and crickets. What an experience.
Via a hollow road we arrive at an old church ruin with tombs. A fascinating and moving place with clear traces of active life, including a basin where grapes were processed.
Time for lunch? Or we walk further to the peak of the pyramid today.
Via narrow winding paths and climbing over rocks we suddenly come face to face with this Etruscan jewel.
The walk is not over yet because we end with a Via Cave, and then enjoy a drink on a terrace in Bormazo itself.
For enthusiasts, there is still time to visit Bormazo.
